A brief note about the above images. There is no question that there is a profound sexual quality to Dave Gibbons' drawing of the transported cloned-brain/monster-squid from Alan Moore's graphic novel Watchmen. It is axiomatic that sex and death are an integral part of the drama that is the Catholicist Nation's wallowing in imaginations catastrophized.   Watchmen was written 15 years before Nine-Eleven.
